Economic Development

The economic development of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. in the year 2006 is represented by the following financial statement.

In 2006, the operating efficiency (turnover) amounted to 11,804 million (previous year: 11,439 million). The operating efficiency (turnover) consists of project revenues from the industry, the Federal Government, the state of Lower Saxony, the EU, and others amounting to 10,286 million (previous year: 9,921 million), as well as basic financing by Lower Saxony amounting to 1.518 million (previous year: 1.518 million). The growth rate of the project turnover came to 10% (previous year: 17%). The self-financing rate was 87% (previous year: 87%).

In 2006, the Ministry of Economics of Lower Saxony provided additional funds for strategic investments, which added up to 0.307 million (previous year: 1.379 million). Thus, the investment expenditure amounted to 1,756 million (previous year: 1,685 million) and constituted 14% of the operational expenditure for the fiscal year (previous year: 14%).

Classification of Revenues

In 2006, the LZH worked on 94 research and development projects. 37 R&D projects were granted in 2006, eight thereof on a European level (see figure below “Classification of Revenues 2006“).
