Industrial Engineering and Metrology
These software products are representative of the industrial benefit that software projects in the field of automation, as carried out at the LZH, can achieve. Besides CAD/CAM and order planning, new approaches in the fields of rapid prototyping, mold making, and internet technologies are being implemented on a software basis. The aim is to develop new methods for laser-assisted three-dimensional workpiece repair, and to consider semi-finished product tolerances in three-dimensional prototype production on the basis of numerical control. In addition, new processes for an internet-based offer calculation of workpiece data are being developed, which supply customers and laser jobshops with the information required.
The large number of research projects and orders from industry prove the high degree of experience in handling, planning, and implementation, which can also be used for future software projects.
The consequent use of software development tools (e.g. UML) and existing programming libraries make efficient and high-quality software development possible. Especially in view of individual demands and tight timetables, customers from industry can reduce software development time and costs by cooperating with a competent partner.
